Concer is the company that runs the BR-040 highway, one of the most important integration routes in the Southeast of Brazil.
The 180.4 km of the BR-040 concession managed by Concer connect the states of Rio de Janeiro and Minas Gerais. It is the main road corridor between these two states, which bring together the 2nd and 3rd largest GDPs in the country, respectively.
In Rio de Janeiro’s section, the highway passes through the cities of Rio de Janeiro, Duque de Caxias, Petrópolis, Areal, Três Rios and Comendador Levy Gasparian; and in the Minas Gerais’ section, it crosses Simão Pereira, Matias Barbosa and Juiz de Fora. The users count on permanent traffic and climate conditions monitoring, as well as services such as mechanical and medical assistance, and strategic investments in the general maintenance and safety of the highway.
